Associate Hotel Director, Malaysia
Our client, TMS ASIA PACIFIC PTE. LTD. , a global cruise vacation company with a combined total of more than 30 ships is seeking qualified candidate for the following position: Associate Hotel Director.
The company offer luxurious cruises Alaska, Asia, California, Caribbean, Mediterranean, Northern Europe, South American and many other exciting destinations.
Responsibilities:
The Associate Hotel Director directs the Hotel Operations on board the ship to ensure company, divisional, and ship performance objectives are achieved. These objectives are set against the Fleet Operations compass and are met or exceeded by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities personally or through subordinate managers. The Hotel Operations consists of Food and Beverage, Housekeeping, Guest Relations, Pursers, Facilities Management, Cruise Programs and Entertainment, Human Resources, Information Technology Operations, Casino Operations, Medical Facilities, and all onboard revenue managers.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration or related or the international equivalent preferred.
• Five or more years progressive managerial experience in a 4 or 5 star hotel or resort, with operational experience in Food and Beverage, Front Office, and/or Housekeeping.
• Ability to manage all functions and divisions.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing personalized customer service.
• Knowledge of the principles and processes involved in business and organizational planning, coordination and execution.
• Knowledge of human resource policies and practices.
• Ability to manage international staff in a positive and productive manner by motivating, developing, and managing employees as they work.
• Ability to understand and administer the disciplinary action process through coaching and counseling to improve performance or terminate employment.
• Ability to work positively and cooperatively in a diverse team environment.
• Ability to communicate tactfully with Division Heads, coworkers, and other shipboard employees to resolve problems and negotiate resolutions.
• Knowledge of computers and software including Excel, Word, Lotus Notes, Power Point, and the internet.
